Hexa-Sil6 VOC Exempt Silicone Lubricant

Hexa-Sil6 VOC Exempt Silicone Release Agent is a 100% silicone-based lubricant that is exempt from federal VOC regulations including California CARB, South Coast Air Quality and OTC. It is HAP-free and RoHS Compliant. The fluid is clear, colorless and odorless with a viscosity of water. It is inert to virtually all substrates including metal, plastics, rubbers and elastomers.

Hexa-Sil6 is faster drying than Cyclo-Sil6 and an excellent choice for applications that require the carry agent to evaporate immediately. It will impart a light film of silicone on the surface. As a release agent, it will allow for multi-part releases without the need to re-apply.

For lubricating plastic and rubber parts/components, there is no better choice than a silicone- based product. The active ingredient of Hexa-Sil6 is Polydimethylsiloxane, which is composed of 100% synthetic material. Unlike conventional petroleum and glycol-based products, silicone fluids are compatible with virtually all plastic and rubber materials including EPDM, Neoprene, Natural Rubber, Teflon, virgin, Butyl, Nitrile, Styrene Butadiene, Buna-N, PVC, LDPE, HDPE.

Although silicones are not recommended for metal-to-metal applications, they are strongly recommended for metal-to-plastic and metal-to-rubber applications.

Hexa-Sil6 will atomize when applied via a hand sprayer or power sprayer. It is being widely used to replace non VOC compliant silicone aerosol sprays. In comparison to an aerosol, Hexa-Sil6 is significantly less expensive.
