FL-1000 Fluorosilicone Oil is a low molecular weight 100% Trifluoropropylmethyl siloxane, trimethyl-terminated (CAS# 63148-56-1) with a viscosity of 1,000cSt @ 25°C. In comparison to conventional PDMS silicone oil, FL-1000 Fluorosilicone Oil offers much higher oil and solvent resistance. It is insoluble in chlorinated solvents, aliphatic solvents and aromatic solvent. As such, it is widely used as a solvent antifoaming in the chemical and petroleum industries.
FL-1000 Fluorosilicone Oil is soluble in ketones, low MW esters and ethers.
FL-1000 Fluorosilicone Oil is further characterized by its low surface tension, low refractive index, good compatibility with elastomers, and wide service temperature range.
