Description: Medium Temperature Silicone Heat Transfer Fluids are clear, colorless, and odorless linear Polydimethylsiloxane fluids / PDMS Silicone Oils that range in viscosities from 20cSt to 100cSt (centistokes) @ 25°C. They are characterized by their low viscosities, good heat capacity, low pour points, wide service temperature range, high flash points, stability at both high and low temperatures, low vapor pressure, low thermal expansion at elevated temps, low viscosity change at temperature (low VTC), hydrophobic nature, high dielectric strength, Newtonian behavior under shear, stability under high pressure, and RI values ranging from 1.4009 to 1.4030.

Silicone Heat Transfer Fluids are widely used in Flow Control, Temperature Control, Electronic Control and Pressure Control Technologies & Instruments. They are particularly effective for use in instruments and gauges that will operate at extreme temperatures and high pressure. The low VTC values of Silicone Heat Transfer Fluids make them especially useful in systems and equipment that need to circulate and pump the fluid at low temperatures: refrigerated systems, cooling systems, low temperature baths, chiller baths, refrigerated baths & closed loop systems.

Silicone Heat Transfer Fluids are hydrophobic and prevent humidity from entering the gauge/instrument housing. This is very important. At low temperatures, water condensation can freeze and cause damage to the sensitive parts within the gauge/instrument housing. Ultimately, Silicone Heat Transfer Fluids will extend the service life of the equipment that it fills and provide more accurate readings even in the harshest of conditions.
