Products Description: Clearco Cold Galvanizing Sprays are formulated for the touch-up and repair of damaged galvanized surfaces. They meet and exceed ASTM A 780 specifications and provide long term protection against corrosion even the most severe environements.

Protects against corrosion
Provides the equivalent protection of Hot Dip Galvanizing to bare metal surfaces and damaged galvanized surfaces.

Synonyms: cold galvanizing spray, zinc paint spray, zinc spray, ASTM A780 spray, galvanic spray, anticorrosion spray, galvanized spray, galvanizing spray, weld thru primer spray, zinc primer spray for steel, ASTM D-1748 spray, gray cold galvanizing spray, flat gray galvanizing spray, hot dip galvanize repair, self-healing galvanic spray, galvanic aerosol

High Performance Zinc Spray

93% Zinc in the dry film…..provides the equivalent corrosion protection of Hot Dip Galvanizing

Use: High Performance Zinc Spray is a fast drying coating that protects steel and ferrous metals exposed to severe corrosive environments. This high performance epoxy compound fuses zinc to the metal substrate and provides long-term galvanic protection against corrosion equal to Hot Dip Galvanizing.

The finished film of High Performance Zinc Spray contains 93% Zinc that protects the surface, even when penetrated or scratched, as an insoluble Zinc Oxide coating that forms over the exposed area. High Performance Zinc Spray meets ASTM A780 specifications and is widely used for recoating and touching-up damaged galvanized surfaces.

After curing, High Performance Zinc Spray may be coated with conventional primers and finishes such as epoxy, urethanes, acrylics & chlorinated rubber. High Performance Spray is highly Resistant to salt corrosion & water. It is formulated for heavy maintenance, and is used on exterior surfaces subjected to severe corrosion & rust conditions.

Properties:

  • 93% Organic Zinc in Dry Film
  • Long Term Galvanic Corrosion Protection
  • Meets ASTM A780 Specifications for touch up and repair of Hot Dip Galvanized surfaces
  • Provides the equivalent protection of Hot Dip Galvanize to damaged galvanized surfaces.
  • Self-healing: provides protection even when scratched.
  • Long term protection against salt corrosion
  • Single package epoxy
  • Convenient on-site application…avoids expense of shipping parts to a Hot Dip Galvanizing

Product Data

12-Hours to Total Cure
Temperature Resistance 400°F – Sustained
600°F – Intermittent

Surface Preparation:
In order to provide galvanic protection, it is critical that the surface be free of oil, moisture, rust, paint before applying. The zinc must have contact with the bare metal surface to provide an electrically conductive (galvanic) film. Solvent cleaning (SSPC-SP1) is usually sufficient for new steel surfaces.

For previously Painted Surfaces, wire brush cleaning (SSPC-SP2), power tool cleaning, (SSPC-SP3) or commercial blast cleaning (SSPC-SP6) may be necessary to remove all rust and loose paint. Again, zinc must have contact with bare metal to provide galvanic protection.

Availability: 12 x 14oz net wt aerosol cans per case

Bright Silver Appearance
Low Viscosity Dimethicone Fluids have very low surface tensions and provide excellent lubricity.

Synonyms: cold galvanizing spray, zinc paint spray, bright zinc paint spray, bright galvanizing spray, bright galvanizing aerosol, ASTM A780 spray, singl package epoxy spray, aluminum galvanizing spray, silver galvanizing spray, aluminum fence galvanizing spray, galvanized fence spray, silver zinc paint, hot dip galvanize spray

Silvercoat Bright Galvanizing Spray

Brighter Appearance that more closely matches the appearance of Hot Dip Galvanize

Use: Silvercoat Bright Galvanizing Spray is a fast drying coating that protects steel and ferrous metals exposed to severe corrosive environments. It provides the long-lasting protection of zinc, yet closely matches the bright color of Hot Dip Galvanizing.

Silvercoat Bright Galvanizing Spray is high performance epoxy compound fuses zinc to the metal substrate and provides long-term galvanic protection against corrosion. It is highly resistant to salt corrosion & water. Silvercoat Bright Galvanizing Spray contains 70% zinc in the dry film. It meets ASTM A780 specifications for the touch-up and repair of Hot Dip, and is widely used for recoating and touching-up damaged galvanized surfaces.

Silvercoat Bright Galvanizing Spray is self-healing, and prevents creepage even when the surface is penetrated or scratched. After curing, it may be coated with conventional primers and finishes such as epoxy, urethanes, acrylics & chlorinated rubber. However, due to its bright appearance, Silvercoat is most often used as both a cold galvanizing primer and topcoat.

Properties:

  • 70% Organic Zinc in Dry Film
  • Long Term Galvanic Corrosion Protection
  • Combines bright appearance of Hot Dip Galvanize with long-term protection of Zinc
