Description: Low Viscosity Pure Silicone Fluids are clear, colorless & odorless 100% Polydimethylsiloxane (CAS#63148-62-9) / PDMS Silicone oils with viscosities of 5cst, 10cSt & 20cSt (centistokes) measured @ 25°C.
They are characterized by their low water-like viscosities, hydrophobic nature, low surface tensions, low pour points, wide service temperature range, excellent lubricity, high dielectric strength, low V.T.C. (low viscosity change at temperature), high damping action and inertness.
Low Viscosity Silicone Fluids are widely used in Flow Control, Temperature Control and Motion Control technologies. They are especially advantageous for instruments, gauges and devices that are subject to low temperatures and high pressures.
Due to their low viscosities & thermal properties, they are widely used as laboratory bath fluids / heat transfer fluids, especially for systems that have to pump/circulate at extremely cold temperatures.
