Availability: 1‐gallon (3.785 liters), 5‐gallon pail (18.9 liters) & 55‐gallon drum (208 liters)
Description: High Viscosity Pure Silicone Fluids are clear & odorless 100% linear Polydimethylsiloxane (CAS#63148-62-9) / PDMS Silicone fluids with viscosities of 5,000cst, 10,000cSt, 12,500cSt, 30,000cSt, 60,000cSt & 100,000cSt (centistokes) measured @ 25°C.
They are characterized by their hydrophobic nature, high viscosities, wide service temperature range, excellent lubricity, high dielectric strength, low V.T.C. (low viscosity change at temperature), high damping action and inertness.
High Viscosity Silicone Fluids are widely used in Flow Control, Temperature Control and Motion Control technologies. They are especially advantageous for use as damping fluids for instruments, gauges and devices that require a high viscosity/high damping action with little viscosity change.
See also High Viscosity Silicone Damping Fluids
They are also widely used to lubricate O-rings, gaskets, valves, and seals *
* Not recommended for silicone O-rings as swelling may occur
