Products Description: Clearco Silicone Damping Fluids are hydrophobic, clear, colorless and odorless linear 100% Polydimethylsiloxane Fluids / PDMS Silicone Oils that range in viscosity from 0.65cSt to 1,000,000cSt (1 million cSt).

Silicone Damping Fluids are used in a wide range of Military, Industrial, Aviation, Aerospace, and Oil & Gas Exploration applications to dampen vibration, dampen motion and dampen torque. They can be used in the most extreme high temperature/ low temperature / high pressure environments, where high rates of vibration and pulsation are encountered. A properly selected silicone damping fluid can significantly extend the service life of equipment and provide more accurate readings.

Viscosities > 5cSt are characterized by their wide service temperature range, high resistance to oxidation, high damping action, excellent lubricity, low viscosity change at temperature (Low VTC), compatibility with virtually all O-rings, gaskets and valve materials, stability under high pressure, high dielectric strength.

Lower viscosities are characterized by their low pour points, low temperature stability, low viscosity and low viscosity change at temperature (Low VTC), low surface tension, high compressibility and high dielectric strength and excellent lubricity.

Super Low Viscosity Silicone Damping Fluids are clear, colorless, and odorless linear Polydimethylsiloxane fluids / PDMS Silicone Oils that range in viscosities from 0.65cSt (thinner than water) to 2cSt (centistokes) @ 25°C. They are characterized by their low pour points, volatile nature (evaporate in open system), stability at low temperature, low surface tensions (high spreadability), low viscosity‐to‐temperature coefficients (viscosity changes little even at extremely low temperatures), Newtonian behavior under shear, low MW, low viscosities (all close to water), high dielectric strength and RI values ranging from 1.3750 to 1.3900.
